Dr Faisal Siddiqui
Dr Siddiqui is one of our highly qualified and experienced medical professionals, currently exercising his wide range of skills to the Mornington community.
Growing up in West Africa and working there as well as in Asia and the United Kingdom, Dr Siddiqui completed his General Specialisation at the General College of Royal Practitioners in the UK, as well as a Masters in Public Health. He worked for the UK National Institute of Health and Care Institute and published four clinical guidelines.
Now settled in Australia with his family, Dr Siddiqui is a valued member of our team. With skills and experience in many aspects of general practice, he has a particular interest in diabetes, paediatrics, psychiatry, and sexual and reproductive health (including contraception and implants).
Dr Siddiqui is also experienced with WorkCover, Transport Accident Commission and Centrelink claims, and can assist patients with the burden of paperwork. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Practitioners, and holds the role of Examiner.
Examiners are critical in the assessment of GPs in Australia, and they represent excellence in general practice. This role also ensures that Dr Siddiqui is at the cutting edge of current and best practice medical knowledge.
Dr Siddiqui’s experience dealing with patients from different countries and backgrounds makes him an exceptional, understanding and compassionate general practitioner. When not devoting time to caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his young family.
As well as quality family time he enjoys sports such as cricket and badminton, and despite being happily settled in Australia a part of his heart remains in the UK with his favourite football club Manchester United!
Dr Iftikhar Ahmad Shahzad
Dr Shahzad is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), affirming his status as a provider of high quality, safe and competent general practice services. He is currently a valued member of our team. family, sharing his knowledge, skills and more than 15 years’ general practice experience at the The Peninsula Medical and Dental Clinic.
Dr Shahzad started his career in general practice in Pakistan and worked there for a few years after graduating in 2001. He then moved to the United Kingdom in 2007 and completed further training, where he gained experience and competency in specialities such as mental health, children’s health, elderly care, medical emergencies, and women’s health. He moved to Australia in 2015 and was awarded FRACGP status in 2017.
Dr Shahzad is multi-lingual, with fluency in Punjabi and Urdu, which is valuable in communicating with patients in our multicultural community. He is passionate about providing care in the community and using his depth of knowledge to help a wide diversity of patients. He is focusing his skills on managing chronic diseases and conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, obesity, eczema, depression, and anxiety.
Dr Shahzad has a holistic approach to his work, and when not providing exceptional medical care to patients he looks after his own physical, mental and emotional health by spending time with his family and visiting the gym.
Dr Abdul Basit
Dr Abdul Basit graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery, and began his journey as a Medical Practitioner in Australia in 2009, and has been working as a GP for 10 years. From working at Royal Hobart Hospital, to Lyell McEvin Hospital in Adelaide, and eventually working as a VMO in Rural Victoria (Kyabram & Shepparton), Dr Abdul Basit eventually settled in Victoria, and successfully obtained his Fellowship with the RACGP in 2018, and has been working in Victoria as a Full-time GP since.
His passion is Family Medicine and has a special interest in Women’s health, Children’s health, Care of Elderly, chronic disease management including diabetes, hypertension, asthma & emphysema.
Dr Abdul Basit also has a particular focus on preventative medicine, lifestyle medicine, health assessments, heart health checks & care plans to help patients manage their chronic conditions more effectively.
He thoroughly enjoys having walks in nature! Dr Abdul Basit speaks the following languages:

Dr Daniel Ivan Martinez Espinosa
Dr Daniel Martinez commenced his studies in Medicine in Spain where he graduated with a MBBS degree from the University of Alicante in 1996. Daniel then worked in the UK where he completed postgraduate training as a GP in 2000. Daniel migrated as a GP to Australia with his family in 2013 to a new life in the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, attaining Fellowship with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) in 2015. Daniel is experienced treating medical conditions such as: diabetes and nutrition, heart disease and asthma. Also, he has special interest in Sports Medicine, specifically in the management of osteoarthritis and sports injuries.
At our clinic Daniel offers Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections and Shock Wave Therapy for Osteoarthritis and Tendonitis/Bursitis of joints. Daniel pays special attention to his communication with his patients by means to deliver optimal and integrative treatment. He is fluent in English, Spanish and speaks some German. His hobbies include golf, martial arts and reading.
Dr Shauna Cheong
Dr Shauna Cheong has recently moved from the UK, having graduated from Manchester Medical School in 2016 and qualified as a GP from the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2021. She is originally from Mauritius and speaks English, French and Mauritian Creole. She believes that a holistic approach to health issues is the path towards a better physical, emotional and mental well being. Her hobbies include reading, ball room dancing and spending her free time on the beach.
Dr Cheong has a special interest in Women’s Health, Sexual Health and General Family Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Dr Kashif Ahmed
Dr Kashif Ahmed has recently moved from the UK. He qualified as a GP from the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2016. Dr Ahmed is an experienced general practitioner with UK training and experience. He is originally from Pakistan and speaks fluent English, Urdu and Punjabi. He takes an active interest in teaching, as part of a commitment to educating the doctors of tomorrow.
His special interests are in chronic health issues, emergency medicine, sport injuries, mental health, men’s, women’s and children’s health, dermatology and elderly care. He is passionate about learning and providing a high quality of care to all his patients.
Away from work, he likes to travel and soak up the cultural diversity.

Dr Ismail Yahaya

Dr Majid Bhatti

Dr. Bhatti has recently moved from the UK where he qualified as a GP from Royal College of General Practitioners of UK in 2020 and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians UK in 2016. He is a highly skilled and compassionate general practitioner dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages. With 15+ years of experience in the medical field in the National Health Service UK, Dr. Bhatti has developed a reputation for delivering personalized care tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. He believes in building strong doctor-patient relationships based on trust, empathy, and open communication. By taking the time to listen to each patient’s concerns and understand their medical history, Dr. Bhatti ensures that every individual receives personalized attention and effective treatment plans tailored to their needs and preferences. He has good multilingual command in English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi.

Dr Timothy White recently relocated to Mornington from London. He graduated from Cardiff University in 2014, completed initial postgraduate medical training in the UK, then worked in a variety of settings in Sydney, including Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry. He subsequently undertook his GP training in London, completing this in 2022.

Dr Umer Nasir

Dr. Umer Nasir (MBBS, MRCGP-UK) has recently moved to Mornington from the UK. He completed his GP training from Sheffield UK in 2023. Prior to that, he has worked in hospital-based medicine for 8 years, developing a special interest in Cardiology, Respiratory and Acute Medicine. His hospital and community experience has given him a good understanding of different disease presentations and how to approach them effectively.
Dr. Nasir believes in a holistic approach, involving his patients in all steps of their care.
In his free time, he likes to read, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with his family. He is multilingual and speaks English, Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi.

Nader Attia
Podiatrist
Nader studied at La Trobe University in Melbourne where he obtained a Bachelor degree in Health Sciences and a Masters of Podiatric practice in 2014. Since then Nader has developed a passion for the management of sports related injuries in athletes and active people as well as treating patients suffering with Diabetes. In his time working as a podiatrist Nader established himself as a podiatry mentor, assisting and training new graduate podiatrists in their first year of podiatric practice. He looks to the ever-evolving field of sports podiatry and is able to construct biomechanical treatment plans for his patients.
In his spare time you will find Nader doing small projects around the house and spending time with his wife and son. He’s an avid soccer fan and enjoys learning new things.
Susan Tegg-Quinn
Audiologist
Susan Tegg-Quinn, is a highly-experienced, fully-qualified audiologist and registered nurse. She is a graduate of the University of Melbourne School of Audiology, a member of Audiology Australia and Independent Audiologists Australia. She has undertaken extensive training in tinnitus and sound intolerance assessment and management both in Australia and overseas. Susan is actively engaged in research to improve the assessment and management of tinnitus and is currently undertaking a PhD through the University of Western Australia and Ear Science Australia.
Alex Adel
MBBS, FRACP | Consultant Cardiologist | Non-invasive imaging specialist
Dr. Adel graduated from Monash University, before commencing his internship and basic physician training years at Eastern Health. He completed three years of advanced training in Cardiology at Austin Hospital and Western Health, continuing with further Fellowship in non-invasive imaging, including echocardiography, stress echocardiography, as well as cardiac CT and MRI modalities. Published works include assessment of coronary plaque burden on CT coronary angiography and various echocardiography topics.
His special interests include heart failure management, including hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, valvular heart disease, and heart disease prevention.
Dr Adel is available for consultations on a monthly basis.
Agnes Shin Ying Chow
Dietitian | Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD)
Agnes is passionate about motivating others to find their best selves and live a healthier and happier life. Believing in the joy of food, she is client-focused and dedicated to providing customised nutritional plans to suit different individual needs while helping others to build a good relationship with food.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Science majoring in Nutrition at The University of Auckland, New Zealand and a Master’s degree in Dietetics at Monash University, she gained interest and experience in areas such as weight management, diabetes management (type 1, type 2, gestational diabetes), cardiovascular disease management (cholesterol, blood pressure management), gastrointestinal conditions (IBS, coeliac disease, food intolerance), women’s health, fertility, pregnancy and breastfeeding, Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and more.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Agnes is multilingual and fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. While providing nutritional advice is her primary job function by day, Agnes is a foodie and enjoys cooking and trying out different recipes and cuisines from other parts of the world.
