Yes — routine STI screening for asymptomatic patients is encouraged. Many STIs (especially Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea) have no symptoms and only blood/urine/swab testing finds them.
No appointment needed during clinic hours — walk-in welcome. For PrEP/PEP/contraception, please book a longer slot.
PEP is a 28-day course of HIV antiretrovirals taken after possible exposure (sex without condom, needle stick). Must be started within 72 hours — sooner is better. Walk in or call us urgently.
Yes — Daniel Sankar provides hormone therapy under the informed consent model. We work with patients of all gender identities respectfully.
Absolutely. Our SHIP clinic is explicitly LGBTQIA+ affirming, judgement-free and welcoming to everyone — regardless of who you are or who you love.
SHIP stands for Sexual Health In Practice. It's a national training program that equips GPs and nurses with advanced clinical skills in sexual healthcare. Our SHIP accreditation means our team has been trained directly by Melbourne Sexual Health Centre (MSHC) — Victoria's leading sexual health clinic, part of Alfred Health. The partnership is a Victorian government initiative to expand high-quality sexual healthcare into local communities.
