Yes. We accept all major private health funds via HICAPS, including Medibank, Bupa, HCF, NIB, AHM, CBHS, HBF and many more. With HICAPS, you can claim your dental benefits on the spot — just bring your health fund card and you only pay the gap amount.

Dental services at Peninsula MDC are privately billed and are not bulk billed through Medicare. However, we do accept the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) for eligible children aged 2–17, which provides up to $1,132 in covered dental services. Our medical services next door are bulk billed — dental and medical operate as separate businesses within our clinic.

We reserve same-day emergency appointments for patients in acute dental pain. Please call our clinic as early as possible on (03) 5975 0000 — we will do our best to see you that day. If you have a dental emergency outside of business hours, please contact your nearest hospital emergency department.

Our Panda 3D intraoral scanner uses a small wand to take thousands of images per second, creating an incredibly accurate 3D digital model of your teeth in under two minutes. Compared to traditional impressions with putty, digital scanning is faster, more accurate, more comfortable (no gagging) and allows us to show you your 3D model in real time on screen. This technology results in better-fitting restorations, crowns, aligners and more.

We generally recommend a check-up and professional clean every six months for most patients. Some patients with a higher risk of gum disease or decay may benefit from more frequent visits — every three to four months. Children should also be seen every six months from around age two. Your dentist will advise the recall frequency best suited to your individual oral health.
